Cocktail of the Week: Sine Metu

We’re continuing to feature Irish whiskey cocktails this month. This week’s concoction comes courtesy of master mixologist Rob Floyd of Spirits Network, a shoppable streaming entertainment channel dedicated to the world of premium spirits..

Sine Metu (meaning “without fear” in Gaelic) is described as a “fun, easy to execute drink” and we couldn’t agree more. It also gives us Mule vibes. Sláinte!

Ingredients:

  • 5 slices lime
  • 2 oz. Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • ½ oz. simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • ginger beer
  • mint sprigs

Instructions:

In a mixing tin, muddle lime. Add simple, Jameson, bitters and shake with ice. Pour into a rocks glass and top with fresh ice. Add a splash of ginger beer and give it a quick stir. Garnish with mint sprigs.

Let us know if you have a cocktail recipe you love or if there’s a recipe that you want us to break down on social media with the hashtag, #TWLcocktail. Please drink responsibly.
