Aberlour Releases Its First Triple Cask Matured Whisky

Aberlour-Casg-Annamh

The Aberlour distillery recently announced the release of Casg Annamh, the first triple cask matured whisky.

Translating as ‘Rare Cask’ in Gaelic, Casg Annamh is a marriage of carefully selected casks that together deliver the newest addition to the Aberlour portfolio.

“Casg Annamh is a tribute to our craftsmen’s passion for Sherry as well as our expertise in distilling and crafting a rare and fine Single Malt,” says Arberlour Master Distiller Graeme Cruickshank. “As our first triple cask matured whisky, we’re confident Casg Annamh is a great entry point to sherry matured whiskies and offers up something new and exciting for those looking to explore the Single Malt category.”

Aberlour Casg Annamh is non chill-filtered and is bottled at the higher strength of 48% ABV. The bottle is sealed with wax and signed by Cruickshank. An initial launch of 6,000 bottles were distributed in the US, with more to come, and they retail for $64.99.
